Viewers tuning into Long Lost Family: What Happened Next were in tears on Thursday evening as one woman discovered she had various siblings in America.  The ITV show sees Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell revisit some of the most extraordinary searches from previous episodes to find out how their lives have been transformed.  In the first instalment, the pair caught up with Jean Smith, who had spent a lifetime longing to find her American Air Force father.  Sadly, Jean discovered that her father had passed away and she would never get to meet him but she did gain some relatives in the process.  Incredibly, Jean admitted that she almost deleted an email that was sent to her by one of her sisters named Sandra who had found her via a DNA database.  Luckily, she opened the email and was stunned to learn that she had a sister as well as five other siblings.  "The excitement of all these siblings!" Jean told Davina. "Four brothers and two sisters going from an only child to having all these brothers and sisters."

Davina was stunned and replied: "Six?! That's amazing!" before Jean showed her a photo of her father Johnny Perkins in his military uniform.

Unfortunately, Johnny died around 20 years ago and Jean admitted: "It did hit me hard."

"It's so special. Just putting a face to the dream that I used to have, now I can put a face to it," she said of her precious photo.

Jean was later seen enjoying a video call with her sister Sandra and became emotional when she surprised her by adding one of their brothers to the chat too.  Viewers tuning in at home were also in tears and took to Twitter to comment, with one person writing: "#longlostfamily pass me the tissues."

Another tweeted: "#longlostfamily is always emotional. I love seeing families reunite. Fills my heart with Joy."

A third viewer added: "I’m a tough middle age fella that’s used to seeing a lot of grief , why on earth is #longlostfamily so dam emotional! pass the tissues! #thursdayvibes."

A fourth person penned: "I thought I'd manage without a tea towel just this once. Matting the dogs hair with snot and tears though watching #longlostfamily."

And a fifth added: "I shouldn’t be allowed to watch this absolute tiny tears I am #longlostfamily."

The episode ended with Jean promising her siblings that they will meet in person one day as she admitted: "I think my dad would be looking down on me now and be happy that we are a family."
